SoulTown.'s music is influenced by the 1960s and 1970s. Old vinyl’s out of this era serve the artist Anne Aalrust as a source of inspiration and transfer passion. The warm sound of a vinyl, this analogue format, is the kind of passion what represents SoulTown.

Just like other great songwriters such as Amy Winehouse, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Nina Simone, Anne Aalrust writes and composes her songs on a piano or guitar. She is a singer-songwriter who found her place in soul music.
